このサイトでは多分言ったことなかったと思いますが、実は昔からトランプが大好きで、コレクターとまではいかないまでも割とよく購入している方だと思います。
出先で、ネットで、ピンときたデザインのカードがあればついつい衝動買い。 特に気に入ったものは保存用とプレイ用で２デッキ買ったりもするので、今までに購入したカードは結構な数になると思います。 それに飽きたらずいつからか、自分で絵柄を描いたトランプも作ってみたいなーなんて思ったりもしていました。
…というわけで、またしてもDMCのパロディお絵かきシリーーズ。 今回はDMCキャラをトランプにしてみました。
トランプのJ,Q,K,ジョーカーの絵札をはじめ、カード裏面の模様、各スートのマークもDMC仕様です。
各スートですが、
♠(スペード)はDMC1、
♥(ハート)はDMC2、
♦(ダイヤ)はDMC3、
♣(クラブ)はDMC4 で大体統一してあります。
今回は、三種のデッキとおまけカード数点を作ってみました。全部入れたらページがかなり縦に長くなっちゃいました；
デビルメイクライトランプ STANDARD DECK
まずは標準デッキから。このデッキとVILLAINデッキは、エンボス仕様になっています。

悪役サイドデッキ。一部悪役とは言えない人もいますが…
デビルメイクライトランプ LEGENDARY DECK
古紙に印刷した風なトランプ。キャラはほとんどスタンダードデッキと同じですが、ダイヤ三枚とジョーカーが違います。
デビルメイクライトランプ EXTRA CARDS
おまけです。二段目の二枚目はなんのキャラかわかりづらいかもしれませんが、一応ドッペルゲンガーです。VILLAIN DECKのダイヤのジャックで、アグニ＆ルドラとどっちにしようか迷った挙句不採用になりました。
DMCトランプでブラックジャック。チップも特製です。
これで全部です。
今回自分の中でのお気に入りは、初代ダンテ、アリウス、クレド、教皇あたりです。
キャラによっては、「トランプっぽさ」がうまく出せていないカードもありますね。特に女性キャラはモロに体型が出てしまう衣装の人が多いのでかなり悪戦苦闘しました。
当初は女性キャラがあまりにもトランプ的な絵柄からかけ離れてしまい、軌道修正がなかなか困難でした。 せっかくなのでそれらのトランプ調ではない女性キャラも、何枚か揃えておまけに入れようかなと思ったのですが… メインの方が完成したらちょっと精神力が途切れてしまったので、今回は見送ることにしました。それらはまた別の機会に続きを描いてみようかと思います。
しかしこれ、最初にやろうと思いついてからかれこれもう３年は経っているんですよね…。 実際に作業した時間が３年というわけではないですが(集中的に作業したのはここ数ヶ月です)、シンプルに見えて意外と難儀な題材だったなと思います。
できれば、この機会にこれらのデッキを使ったオリジナルのトランプ遊びの一つでも考案したかったものですが、ちょっと私のオツムでは難しかったようです； 何か新しい、面白い遊び方がありましたら是非教えてもらいたいです。(今回のデッキ無関係でも全然構いません)

I would buy this whole set in a heartbeat. Is it real? Do you have plans to put it into production? You could do a kickstarter page to fund it. It is too awesome not to be made available to fans of the series.
I have to say, in terms of quality of output and design ethos, this is one of the top tier DMC fansites evr created. It is better than professional. I wish Capcom would just hire you so us fans could get this stuff for real. I am constantly in awe of what you create here.

I’m concerned that my performances may be deviating from the needs of most of DMC fan, so I’m really glad that you complimented me on my site.
I have no plan to begin kickstarter for now. If I try it, I wonder how many people will support it… Anyway, I’m glad you would want to buy this :)

Well, I’m glad you found my comments gratifying. I’m sure if more DMC fans knew about the site, they would agree with me as well.
While your creations might not be exactly what DMC fans think they want, I would not let that concern you. In my experience they tend to be preoccupied with inane and superficial things like arguing which game is better, who Dante would marry, how hot Vergil is, etc.
In my opinion, purely creative work free of politics, like what you make, is the best and most worthwhile contribution a fan can make to show their love of the series. I personally especially like your files of the DT runes, because I tried for a long time to decipher them and developed an attachment to their appearance and design. Your Nelo Angelo DDT is very cool as well.
Anyway, about the playing cards, I did find this site that seems to make custom cards for pretty cheap. [http://www.makeplayingcards.com/design/custom-blank-card.html] So you wouldn’t really need Kickstarter. If you so desired, you could make yourself a pack (and maybe an extra one for me as well…) Just a thought…

Deciphering the DT runes? Wow, that’s really interesting.
Thank you for searching. That’s a big help for me because I couldn’t find good print shops in Japan that satisfy my conditions(e.g. price, paper quality, flexibility of design etc.). The site you found seems to satisfy most of my conditions.
haha… OK, when I carry it out, I’ll make sure to notify you. At that time, is it alright to contact you by email? It’s hard to say when, but I got motivated :D
